I checked out the new version of Reactoonz from Play’n’go recently and to be honest I don’t want to go back to it. This version felt very scripted to me. Obviously the max win of this version is twice as high as in the first, so the variance is higher, but the slot really tries not to give any decent win – I’ll describe how below.
The visuals are the same, the same alien heads of different colors make funny noises to the goofy music when they land, so it’s still pleasant to play in that respect.
The mechanics are almost the same: stacks of symbols play in cascades charging various features, and when you charge 5 features you get a bonus in the form of a universal symbol dropping, which is placed several times and plays with the other symbols. But unlike the first version of this slot, here after each hit a random symbol gets a multiplier, which can reach 100x.
And the reason it felt scripted to me is that in the bonus game the multiplier always fell far away from the universal symbol. I hit about a dozen bonuses and the multiplier never worked with it even once, so all wins were around 100x the stake, which was really disappointing. So I’d rather play the first or second version of Reactoonz than try to finally win something in this one.
